The Graduation Projects Exhibition of Spring 2026
May 27, 2026
The graduation projects exhibition of our department’s senior students was held on May 22, 2026, at the Electronics Laboratory on the ground floor of our department.

At this traditional event, which has been organized annually by our department for 27 years, our students showcased the products they developed. The event featured 55 projects and attracted a large number of visitors.
The recipients of the project award, given this year for the fourteenth time in memory of our dear student Mert Uluçay, whom we lost in 2012, and sponsored by the Uluçay Family, were determined through electronic voting, with votes cast only by our undergraduate students. Nearly 200 students attended the voting.
In addition to this award, we also had two other awards: the “Best Theoretical Contribution Award” and the “Best Practical Application Award.” The winning projects for these awards were determined, again through voting, by a jury consisting of faculty members, Industry Advisory Board members, and other expert visitors.
At the end of the event, our students who prepared the award-winning projects received awards in a small ceremony.
The projects that received awards in our exhibition are as follows:
Mert Uluçay Most Admired Project Awards:
1. The project titled “ASIC-Based Sensor Hub for Smart Automated Systems” carried out by ALİ DEMİR, YİĞİT YAREN, RESUL SAMED TAŞDEMİR, and ENES KAAN UMUT under the supervision of Dr. DİNÇER GÖKCEN, was selected as the project most admired by our students.
2. The project titled “Real-Time Object Detection on FPGA Using RISC-V Architecture” carried out by UMUTCAN TAŞKIN, TUNA GÜN TEKİN, ÖMER ÖZBEY, and BEKİR YUFKA under the supervision of Dr. ALİ ZİYA ALKAR, ranked second among the projects most admired by our students.
3. The project titled “Storage and Retrieval System with Image Processing” carried out by MUHAMMET ENES BIÇAK, HÜSEYİN ULAŞ ÇAĞLAK, İLKER YAĞCI, and BETÜL MALKOÇ under the supervision of Dr. GÜRHAN BULU, ranked third among the projects most admired by our students.
