Concurrent courses : -
Delivery modes : Face to face
Learning and teaching strategies : Lecture, Discussion, Question&Answer, Brainstorming, Literature Review
Course objective : The aim of the course is to enable doctoral students, under the guidance of their supervisors, to formulate research designs in accordance with the sub-research topics and research problems for their thesis, which is determined as a prerequisite for this course, while enhancing their proficiency in selecting and implementing scientific research methods.
Learning outcomes : Students who complete this course successfully; -Can design research in accordance with scientific principles for predetermined sub-research topics and defined research problems. -Can choose research methods (qualitative, quantitative, mixed, etc.) suitable for this design. -Can determine the sample/study group, if the research has an empirical dimension. -Can determine data collection tools. -Can use appropriate statistical analysis methods and up-to-date programs to analyze the data. -Can carry out the data collection and analysis process in accordance with ethical principles.
Course content : Structuring the research design for the thesis under the guidance of the supervisor, selecting research methods and data collection tools suitable for this design, determining data analysis methods and using current programs.
References : Books and periodicals published in the research area.
