For last six years, Hacettepe University's Faculty of Engineering has been organizing an exhibition where the graduation projects of senior students of engineering departments take place and compete.
This year, the exhibition was held on May 14th-15th, 2009 in Beytepe Campus, and amongst all projects, our department's "Design of Microprocessor-Controlled Semi-Active Artifical Knee" won the competition based on jury votes. The project also took "Hacettepe Technopark's Award for Resource Utilization" and "Department's Best Project Award".
The project was realized by senior students Mr. Hidir Askar, Mr. M. Hakan Aksit, Mr. Veli Gurses and Mr. Ilker Gunay under the supervision of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Atila Yilmaz.
Besides, the faculty's first runner-up award went to another project of our department: "Text-independent Speaker Recognition". The project was realized by our senior student Mr. Mehmet Polat with Asst.Prof.Dr. Yakup Ozkazanc as the supervisor.
