Prof. Dr. Adnan Köksal Thesis Award Presented to This Year’s Recipient

The 2024–2025 Academic Year “Prof. Dr. Adnan Köksal Thesis Award” ceremony, held in memory of our esteemed colleague Prof. Dr. Adnan Köksal, whom we lost on 25 July 2024, took place on 6 November 2025 in our Department’s Conference Hall. The event was attended by faculty members, students, as well as the family and loved ones of Prof. Dr. Köksal.
This year’s Best Thesis Award was presented to Dr. Kübra Saka for her doctoral dissertation titled “Metal Oxide-Based Solid-State Device Fabrication and Characterization” completed in June 2025 under the supervision of our faculty member Assoc. Prof. S. Dinçer Gökcen.
Between 1 October 2024 and 30 September 2025, a total of 34 master’s and doctoral theses were completed in our department. Among the nominated theses, the best thesis was selected during the Graduate Studies Committee meeting held on 5 November 2025.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Köksal Family, who generously sponsored the award. We also congratulate Dr. Kübra Saka and her supervisor Assoc. Prof. Dinçer Gökcen. On this occasion, we once again commemorate our distinguished colleague Prof. Dr. Adnan Köksal with profound respect.
