The project aims to develop a more reliable eye-tracking communication system for individuals who experience difficulties in communication due to paralysis, ALS, and similar neuromuscular diseases. The system will verify the user’s selections made through eye movements not only with gaze data, but also with error perception information obtained from EEG signals.

Thanks to the artificial intelligence-based decision mechanism to be developed, incorrect selections will be automatically detected and either corrected or revalidated. In this way, the project aims to improve communication accuracy and enhance user safety.

Bringing together the fields of bioengineering, artificial intelligence, and human-computer interaction, the project aims to develop an innovative assistive communication technology that can be transferred to clinical applications and has the potential to be transformed into a product.

We congratulate our faculty member and his team on this prestigious project and wish them success in their work.
